Richardson TX is one of the densest high-tech areas in the nation, with Telecom Corridor, where Nortel, Errickson, Lennox Industries and other companies have their U.S. headquarters.

Richardson was name one of the top US cities to Live in by CNN in 2008 – it ranked 18th to be exact. The population is 107,000 and it has a low crime rate.

The city is just north of Dallas and south of Plano. In addition to numerous high-tech employers in Richardson, it is also home to four DART rail stations that allow for a reasonable commute to downtown Dallas.

Residents enjoy the annual city tradition of the Cottonwood Art Festival, an award-winning exhibit of more than 200 artists and craftsmen from around the country.

The Richardson Independent School District is has a “Recognized” academic rating. The University of Texas at Dallas campus is located in Richardson, and is one of the areas primary employers.
