Education – McKinney is served primarily by the McKinney Independent School District, but some of the west areas of McKinney are zoned nearby Frisco, Prosper or Allen Independent School Districts. There is a McKinney campus of Collin County Community College.
Collin County Regional Airport is located in McKinney and there is easy access to major highways US 75, US 380, SH 121.
McKinney TX City Council controlled community development with large and small subdivisions, ranging from moderate to luxury homes.
Housing is available in all price ranges, from first time homebuyers to the most lavish executive home. Additionally numerous planned unit communities are built around golf courses, including El Dorado, Stonebridge, Westridge and Craig Ranch.
